Why support Beacon?

Liberty believes in giving back to the community through supporting numerous charities and worthwhile organisations. Liberty’s community involvement is harnessed through its Lend-A-Hand program. This program includes financial giving, as well as encouraging Liberty staff and affiliated business partners to give time and effort where they can make a difference.

Liberty provides financial support from a corporate level which is used to fund a range of initiatives and programs chosen by Beacon. Staff at Liberty are involved in a Workplace Giving program enabling employee donations to Beacon on a monthly basis. Liberty also holds special events throughout the year such as the Melbourne Cup occasion which raised over $2200. Beginning in February 2007 employees will volunteer their time to speak to year 10 students about the “World of Work” through the Beacon ‘No Dole’ Program. Other liberty staff will share their work experience and career skills with local student groups.

Beacon’s commitment and hard work provides young people with the opportunity to establish a strong foundation to achieve their goals in the future.
