Jane Artup, NSW/ACT State ManagerJane started with the Beacon Foundation in July 2005 as Victorian Coordinator and is now the NSW State Manager. She finished her studies at the University of Western Sydney completing a Bachelor of Business (Human Resources/ Industrial Relations) in 2004. She completed the majority of her studies part time as she worked full time as an Employment Consultant for Mission Australia, matching the long-term unemployed up with further training and employment. This is where her drive for the root causes of unemployment grew from, and attracted her to Beacon with the appeal being to a project that demonstrates early intervention to such social issues. Jane also has a training and recruitment background that she finds continuously useful within her role. Jane says she felt a connection with Beacon from the first moment she heard about what they were doing and knew she had to be involved. Jane is looking forward to the challenges of her role and the benefits that will result from such challenges. Jane grew up in the Blue Mountains in New South Wales and is now based in Sydney. |
