Jane Wells - Tasmanian Manager 

Jane began her association with Beacon in 2006 as a presenter for the Polish program. Jane was made State Manager for Tasmania in 2009

Jane came to Beacon with a varied work history. While completing a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at UTAS, Jane tutored in dance and kick boxing, as well as working as a relief teacher in various Tasmanian High Schools. She also spent time working at management level in the hospitality, retail and banking industries. Jane has recently commenced her studies towards completing a Masters in Education.

Jane is a very proud mum to twins Eva and Fergus. To relax Jane loves listening to music, spending time with extended family and friends and going to dance classes.

 
 

Sherry Anderson - Tasmanian Coordinator 

Sherry recently returned to Tasmania to take on the role of Northern Tasmanian Coordinator after spending two and a half years working as a coordinator in Victoria.

Prior to commencing with Beacon, Sherry worked in various roles within the Tasmanian Education Department as a Beacon No Dole Coordinator at Brooks High and later taking on a role as a Youth Learning Officer, working with disadvantaged young people.

Sherry is excited to be working for an organisation that is consistently working towards providing young people with opportunities to support them in their transition into further education, employment or training.

Sherry enjoys reading and spending time with her children, Ashlie 17 and Harry 8.
 
 

Michael Bridge - Senior Finance and HR Manager

Joining Beacon Foundation has fulfilled Michael's desire to re-enter the non profit sector and hold a position that gives back to the community.

Always working in corporate services roles, Michael has worked with Australian Red Cross, a disability services organisation, a group training organisation, a financial planning business as well as manufacturing.
Prior to joining Beacon, Michael filled a maternity relief position in the finance department with SKM in Hobart.

Michael holds a Diploma in Human Resources and Frontline Management, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Business Management.

Tasmanian born and bred, Michael enjoys the company of his three young children and looks forward to travelling overseas when the time is right.
